Jass against the computer
When nobody has time for a game right now, play Jass on wyys.ch against three bots, straight away and without signing up. The bots play at three strengths: Easy, Normal and Strong. You can play any of the four games against them, and you can pick up a game you started on your next visit.
How it works
- Tap ‘Play now’, choose the game and the strength of the bots, and start.
- A solo game runs entirely in your browser, needs no game server and so starts immediately.
- If you close the page in the middle of a round, the home page offers to continue the game on your next visit.
Explained in full: Our bots: how the Jass bots on wyys.ch play The rules in brief
What you get on wyys.ch
- Bots fill every empty seat, at one of three strengths: Easy, Normal or Strong.
- A table has a four-letter code you send to your friends, and nobody needs an account.
- The site is built for a phone held upright, and on a computer it’s the same table, only bigger.
Jass tools
- Jass scoreboard The Jasstafel is the slate with the chalk Z that Swiss players keep score on at a real table, and for Coiffeur there is the Coiffeur chart.
- Printable scoreboard You put together a sheet with the Z or with the Coiffeur chart, then print it on A4 or save it as a PDF.
- Weis calculator You tap your cards, and the calculator shows every Weis, its points and the Stöck.
- Points calculator The calculator adds up tricks, Weis, Stöck and Match times the multiplier and tells you how many points you still need to reach the target.
- Quiz: can I play that? In ten short tricks you tap the cards you may play, and every answer explains the rule.
Frequently asked questions
- Can the bots see my cards?
- No, a bot sees only what a human in its seat would see: its own cards, the cards played and the Weis that were shown. It never gets the cards of the other seats.
- Which bot strength is right for me?
- Easy is right if you’re just learning the rules or playing with children. Normal suits a typical evening game, and Strong is for when you want a challenge, because these bots think ahead with every card. The strength applies to all bots at the table, and in a solo game you can change it before each new game.
- Do I need an account to play Jass online?
- No, all you need is a name, and that is what the others at the table see. There is no password and no email address. Your browser remembers a random ID so that you can find your way back to your seat.
